I’m a wedding and portrait photographer who values hugs over handshakes, can down tacos like nobody’s business, and will always prioritize the truth of lasting and meaningful over the lie of immediate and trivial.
I love to capture the sweet moments of your legacy unfolding right before your eyes, because if you’re not careful you just might miss it.
My path into photography was an unexpected one. After 13 years in the corporate background-screening world, my family sold our company and I was faced with a “now what?” kind of moment.
The kind of moment that says, “Okay, Steph. If you could choose to do literally anything you wanted to do, what would it be?” That moment took me back to the moments as a child, looking up at the wall in my parents’ house, wondering–these people should matter to me, but what’s their story?
I loved hearing the chronicles of my family in Sri Lanka and how they came to the U.S. and grew into the family I now know them to be. I felt like their experience shaped me and I knew their stories needed to live on.
Pictures are the best way to capture your legacy as it authentically unfolds. Stories have a way of reminding us of our purpose by showing us our past, and it’s my absolute joy to be a part of making that magic for so many couples and families who value the same thing.
And I'm So glad you're here!
I love to pretend that I am a gardener extraordinaire (aka plant lady) – but due to my work schedule plant murderer is probably a more accurate statement! I have 2 very special orchids that I keep alive at the moment, and the rest of the plants in the house are plastic!
I have a thriving heart for real marriages; I’m a champion of what sets you up for a life of love instead of simply one day of pre-fabricated perfection.
“Because of you, I will always have a friend.” Without my family and all they do and have done for me, I wouldn’t be who I am today. They are truly God’s blessing to me.
I’m a book junkie. I literally have thousands in my home library!
I have a thing for snail mail: I collect quotes in a journal and share them on notes and cards. There’s something so sweet about the dying art of tangible mail!
One of the first people always ask me is how to say my last name. It’s pronounced (We-jay-singer), and yes, I know there isn’t an R on the end. Although my siblings and I were born in the US, both of our parents are Sri Lankan. Sri Lanka is a little island off the coast of India.
I am obsessed with them, and they can be found all over my home. Love walking through the house reliving special events/special memories.
I am a total taco snob, and I know all the local places to get the most authentic tacos.
• God has blessed me with much, so bless others. I’m a little “bless your heart” southern mixed with Sri Lankan fire. You’ll be blessed with that personality as soon as we meet!
• Honesty wins.
• Honestly, dessert belongs in at least one meal per day. You deserve happiness.
• Friends become family at the table.
• If my true friends want to guess my mood, they just check my coffee mug choice of the day.
• Our stories live on.
• And the weight of that truth should push us to live differently.
• Are you ready to be a part of the family?
